What is included in a photo session?
All photography services include fully edited images delivered digitally through a personalized Smug Mug gallery. Portrait sessions can last up to 3 hours and advanced retouching services are available upon request.
Do you do prints?
Yes, clients are able to order prints directly from Smugmug. The images are ordered and paid for from the portfolio and shipped directly from the lab and are not handled by me. Clients also have the opportunity to print their own images from the files they receive. Print prices are always at wholesale pricing so you pay what i pay!
What can I expect from a portrait session
Photo shoots are on location either specified by the client or of my choosing. I may or may not have an assistant with me to help with lighting. Feel free to bring family members or a friend along with the shoot but please keep guests to a minimum. I do use flash lighting both indoors and outdoors and try to keep our session casual. I want to be your best friend by the end of the session.
Photo shoots can be up to 3 hours and any session over 3 hours requires special planning.
Will there be any paperwork?
A model release and agreement will be signed at time of service. The model release designates that I have permission to post your likeness on my website and social media without last names or personal information. The agreement is a standard business contract defining services rendered and a copy of both forms will be given to you. The business agreement will also include an invoice.
Do you retouch photos?
Yes, I do perform basic exposure and white balance corrections. Minor skin imperfections will also be corrected. Advanced retouching is available as an additional service.
Is there a deposit?
yes, a $50 non-refundable deposit is required before scheduling a portrait session. Full payment must be made by the day of the portrait session.
What forms of payment do you accept?
I accept Cash, Check, or Credit / Debit card. Add 4% to the total for Credit / Debit payments.
Is there a cancellation fee?
As a parent, I realize that things do come up that require appointments to be changed or cancelled. There is no cancellation fee for appointments cancelled before the date of the appointment. However, If appointments are cancelled with less than 12 hours before the appointment, a $50 rescheduling fee will be applied to your total amount due upon rescheduled date.
What about bad weather?
If the weather is against us causing a cancellation then this will be discussed the day of the photo session. There will be NO fee for rescheduling due to weather.
Do you travel?
I do travel up to 25 miles around the Dearborn Michigan area. I am available for long distance travel.
What type of equipment do you use?
I use Fujifilm cameras and lenses. I do utilize studio lighting whenever possible both indoors and outdoors.
